There is no minimum age to start cycling, well almost! Once the child reaches 35" tall (around 2 years old) means they can ride on the Commencal Ramones 12'' Balance Bike. At this age they learn ‘on their feet’ and therefore they learn balance with ease (with no pedals to get in the way). An added bonus is that it’s ready to go to add a rear disc brake as soon as they start picking up too much speed!
The RAMONES 12 is designed with the same attention to detail as Commencal's adult bikes. The result is an uncompromising balance bike with the look of a real mountain. The aluminum frame and fork keep the weight low while being robust to stand up to the onslaught of a toddler! The wide foot platform, which is equipped with an anti-slip surface, has two functions: it allows the child to position their feet securely when they have mastered balancing and to protect the frame against damage caused when the balance bike is thrown on the ground.
Vee Tire CrownGem tires combine large volume with a grippy profile. They offer comfort and safety whatever the terrain surface. The RIDE ALPHA cockpit is specifically developed by us to suit the shoulder width and hand size of toddlers. The diameter means it is possible to fit 19mm diameter grips, perfectly suited for kids.
